Pickin' Pumpkins 2008

No I am not looking. OR SMILING!
Looking for bugs in the corn field.

The boots that ruined the trip!
A rare shot of the three of us. (Drue took the pic, he is
not into getting his pic taken lately)

We went to Craven Farms to pick out our pumpkins this year! Lucas was in a great mood until we put his boots on. Then he was totally annoyed. He was not able to walk very well with them. He did recover quickly though. We actually left without a pumpkin...they were so picked over. The grocery store had a better selection for cheaper.

The Zoo on Lucas' 2nd Birthday!

For weeks we asked Lucas what he wanted to do on his birthday. He kept telling us that he wanted to "see the baby monkey". We have a zoo pass, and knew that he loved the zoo. On his actual birthday, I took the day off (Daddy was already off) and we headed to the zoo for the day. We had a wonderful day walking all around and playing at the zoo.
Lucas was pretending to feed the bronze bird.
We made a bracelet to support animals in Africa. Each bead
was hand made by women in Africa. Lucas worked hard and was proud!

Looking for the giraffes in the African safari. And below he is a
playing in a fort.

Mmm...cake and cupcakes!

Lucas left the party on a complete sugar high. All he could say is that he wanted "more birthday party". He had a blast!

Digging in the DIRT!

These are classic Lucas pictures taken at the beginning of his second birthday party. We hosted the party for 50+ friends and family at Willis Tucker park, which is just a couple miles from our house. He was so happy to be at the park with his friends, and of course, digging in the dirt.

ALMOST TWO!

Lucas was getting ready to TURN TWO!
I think he looks so innocent in the picture below.
It really shows the sparkle in his eyes
and the shine in his smile.
Lucas is ALL BOY! He loves his tractor!

He is so SWEET!

We decided to have a John Deere tractor themed party for Lucas' second birthday. His LOVE of tractors comes from his Daddy doing construction for so many years. As we drive down the road he points at all the tractors and says, "digger", "bulldozer", and "whoa big tractor"! He also has a digger that he can sit on and dig in the dirt with. He gets a HUGE smile and thinks he is SO COOL when he plays on it.

Starting up the blog!

Hello Friends and Family,

I have decided to FINALLY start a blog to keep our friends and family updated with the changes and happenings in our lives. I will post some pictures to get caught up on what has been going on recently. Then attempt to keep caught up on posts and pictures. I figure it is easier than sending out the mass emails :-)

xoxo Jess
