Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

We are HUGE zoo fans and have an annual membership for the Woodland Park Zoo, but we decided to take an adventurous trip to Tacoma for the day. Point Defiance is a zoo and an aquarium and we planned on staying only a couple hours...and before we knew it we had been there for over 5 hours. The highlights were the Wild Wonders show, feeding the Budgie Buddies (colorful little birds), riding the camel and carousel, seeing the sharks, meerkats, lemurs, polar bears, and walrus's.
Lucas was freaking out about the 'Great White' swimming behind him!
Better...now there are only fishies!
Exploring in the 'Kid Zone'. (yes they are animals too)
Lucas with a blue mouth after too much cotton candy.
Petting Harold the star of the Wild Wonders show!
Riding a camel....
On the carousel with mommy!
"JJ" along for the ride!
So tired on the way home! What a good day!

Colby's 4 Month Check Up!

Our sweet boy is already 4 months old! I always have mixed feelings about well baby check ups, I like seeing how big he is but hate the shots... We started the visit talking about milestones and he has met them all and MORE! He is laughing, rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy, grabbing objects, and bringing them to his mouth. He got two shots, an oral vaccination, and another blood draw from his heal. Luckily the blood tests were negative so I won't go into details.
4 month stats (7/13):
13lb 11oz (23%)
26 inches (83%)
Just to compare to Lucas, he is 5oz LESS and 2inches LONGER than Lucas was at 4 months.

I see my feet, how to I get to them?!
He loves his new view from the Bumbo!
Silly boys!
Lucas and his friend Reese! So cute!

He Shoots, He Scores!

I have had Lucas signed up for "Kids Love Soccer" since March through Snohomish County Parks and Recreation. Auntie got him a red soccer outfit with the number three and Mimi even got him cleats, we have packed and unpacked his soccer bag in preparation for his first practice many times over the last couple months. Well...the long awaited day FINALLY arrived. We showed up, but the coach did NOT. I still have no clear answer why the kids were waiting for the very first practice, but we very sadly let down. Ugh! Luckily Daddy and Papa were willing to kick the ball around, and hopefully next Tuesday Lucas will finally get to go to a REAL soccer practice.
A natural!

Possible defender?
Playing with Papa who was hoping to see some soccer action before heading back to South Carolina.
Where is my coach? Ugh!

Let Freedom Ring!

Happy 4th of July from our 'ALL AMERICAN BOYS'!

Colby had a 4th of July shirt that he wore for less than 3 minutes and got poo all over it!
The joys of motherhood and trying to coordinate!
