The Christmas Tree Hunt!

A Dean family tradition has evolved into a Johnson family tradition...we get live trees and we CUT them down. No fake trees or precut trees are allowed in our house! So we decided while Nana and Papa were still in town (and had a rental car with a roof rack) we should head out to chop down our Christmas Tree!!!

Lucas in front of Stocker Farms trees!

Colby's first of many 'tree hunting' adventures!
A little photo-op before cutting it down!

Nana and Lucas excited to have found the Johnson tree 2010!

Gobble til you WOBBLE!!!

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays! A day of being thankful for all we have and a day to spend time with family without the stresses of buying and wrapping gifts. This year we were thrilled to host a wonderful dinner at our house. Dad and Cindy came from SC, G&G from Yakima, and Aunts and Uncles from the area.

Some of the things we are thankful for:
1.  Public Schools.
2. Community Colleges.
3. The family God gave us and the family we chose to marry into.
4. 30 year fixed mortgages.
5. Cameras to capture all the fun!
6. Testosterone! We love our boys!

Sooo...the day didn't start off so well!
 But the turkey survived!
 Grandpa giving the blessing!
Proud of my first Thanksgiving spread!
 Mmmmm....
 The bib says it all!!!
Happy Thanksgiving from the cutest boys ever!
Big Papa spending some time with his great grandson.

My grandma she is truly the most kind and loving person I know!
 4 generations!
The best little chef in town!

Lucas was 'cooking' on his BBQ from Nana and Papa all night!
Trying to get a picture of all three boys never seems to work...
Colby has too much fun...and food!

November Snow!

Snow blanketed the Seattle area before Thanksgiving this year! School was even canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday making an extra long break for the whole family. So fun!
Snow before Thanksgiving is rare in Seattle!
Every morning Lucas woke up so excited to shovel the snow!
 Snow angels!

 Colby was not thrilled...brrrr!

Daddy pulled Lucas on the saucer sled with Toby's leash...hahaha!

Colby is 2/3 of a year!

Colby turned EIGHT months, on Tuesday the 9th. He is active and ALL over the place. He crawls...sometimes on all fours and sometimes army style (usually depending on how tired he is). He can pull up on to his knees and has once pulled up to the standing position. No teeth yet, but I keep thinking it is going to happen any day. He drools and chews on everything. He is consistently sleeping through the night from 8-8:30pm to 6-7am, and takes two naps each day.
He chews on his giraffe nonstop...but no teeth yet!
He can pull up on to his knees, and last Friday he pulled up for the first time into the standing position.
He loves to stand up and "take steps".
 Diggin' for toys!
He crawls ALL over the place!
Here I come mommy!
 100% Boy says it ALL!
And he's off...
