Christmas Eve!

Lucas' joy, anticipation, and excitement has been contagious this year (Colby still is not sure what is going on). We have had a lot of fun with our Elf on the Shelf, Sparky, hiding in a new spot each morning, and both boys love opening their Advent calendars. We have spent several evening this season driving around listening to Christmas music, looking at lights. Colby loves to say "ho, ho, ho" like Santa and is fascinated with Frosty.

On Christmas eve we went to Mimi's for a wonderful prime rib dinner. Lucas and Colby got to open their Christmas eve presents, a new pair of jammies and a Goofy. Mimi also let them each open ONE fun gift to play with Christmas eve, Lucas got Air Hockey and Colby got some choo choo's for the bath.

 Opening their jammies.

Bath time in red water of course!

It was impossible to get a picture of them together....
Can you tell Lucas is a LITTLE excited!

Snowflake Lane downtown Bellevue!

Lucas loves to ice skate in the winter! Bellevue has an outdoor rink each December and then a fun parade at the mall.

He was a little nervous at first!

 Taking a break...

 Fun with Daddy!

He was a STAR by the end!

 Colby waiting for the parade!
 Bbbrrrr....!

 Mmmm...lollipops!

 What a show!

A hunting we will go!

Our family tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving worked out well this year! It was a crisp, clear fall day in Machias. After a little searching we found the perfect tree for the Johnson Family in 2011!

Colby thinking he found "the one".
Lucas wants to look a little more.
 This is definitely the ONE!

 Lucas takes the first cut!!!
A quick pose while it is still standing.

The boys can always find a puddle to make a splash!
