The Jungle Animals Gathered to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We had a wonderful first birthday celebration for Colby! These pictures tell most of the the story. We can not say enough how much we adore him and are so thankful he is in our life.
The invitation.
We always celebrate with cupcakes, mmmm...

I made sack lunches for the kids.
We had sandwiches cut into elephant shapes, apples, jungle mix, and yogurt.

The bigger boys having their indoor picnic.
Colby watching for his friends to arrive.
Singing the the birthday boy!
Thank you Mimi for hosting and helping SO much!
 He LOVES the attention!
 Just tasting!
So proud and in love with our sweet boy!
 Messy kisses!
 Bros!
 Oh my!
The VERY proud big brother!
Colby needed a bath after the cupcake!
Since Colby can't open gifts I let each of the kids open the gift they brought and give it to Colby.
It was pretty cute and overwhelming :)

We had craft time and made jungle puppets.
The bigger boys put on a show!

Happy Birthday to our sweet, sweet Colby J!

Our sweet little boy is ONE today! Last night as I was rocking him to sleep I wished I could just pause life for awhile. Colby has changed our life and brought so much joy in the last year. I want to cherish every moment. Si and I smiled thinking about what we were doing exactly one year ago as we were trying to fall asleep in preparation for his arrival. We had no idea how much we were going to fall in complete love with a tiny 6lb 15oz sweet boy (at that point we still have not even settled on a name). At time it feels like time has FLOWN by, but in the same thought I hardly remember our life without him.
Just a couple of reasons I love Colby J:
- I love his sly grin when our eyes meet.
- I love how he crawls up, gets up on his knees, and reaches up.
- I love how when we get to daycare and I pass him off, he always reaches back for one more hug and snuggle.
- I love how he immediately stops crying when I hold him tight.
- I love how him and Lucas hold hands while I drive.
- I love how he rolls to his side as soon as I lay him down.
- I love how he splashed in the bath, and makes every day so much FUN!

He CAN walk, but does not always chose to.
