Lucas had his first t-ball practice tonight! He has been counting down the days and asking how many nigh-nigh's for over a month. Mimi got him his first pair of tee-ball pants and he was READY! He loved it, and is already asking when his next practice is. SO FUN! I am SO excited for first next game :)
We love to share our pictures and stories of raising a family of boys!

Apple Blossom in Wenatchee!
We headed East of the mountains for Mother's Day weekend. For some reason we thought camping in May in Wenatchee would be warm...wrong! We got soaked at the parade and froze at night, but we still managed to have some fun! Camping with two little ones is quite a challenge :)
Markus and Lucas waiting for the parade!
Easter Weekend!
On Saturday the weather was nice so we headed to the Bunny Bounce at the Woodland Park Zoo for an Easter Egg Hunt. Lucas was disappointed when he realized the eggs were empty, but they both had fun collecting (no real hunting when they are lying all over the ground). That evening we went to Mimi's for a BBQ and to hunt for eggs in her backyard. Mimi and Auntie did a great job hiding the eggs (we might still have a few out there) and then Easter morning we had our annual neighborhood hunt! So fun!
Looking for eggs at the zoo!
Jackpot!
Feeding the Budgie Birds an Easter Snack.
The Easter Bunny came to the Johnson Household!
Mother's Day!
Lucas invited me to his Mother's Day celebration at Preschool. I was a complete mess as the teacher sat and read the words that each child said when asked what they loved most about their mom. Lucas said "I love the way she hugs me. I like going to the store with her to get tomatoes and carrots to eat. I love when she reads me books at bedtime." The kids then sang us a song spelling Mommy to the Oscar Meyer song, then we sat at the tables while they served us muffins and fruit. We also got to make a frame together and then Mrs. Pawley took a picture of us to put in the frame. I am so thankful for the sweet boy that made me a mommy!
Mr. Independent is 14 months!
Colby is 14 months! I can't believe it has already been two months since he turned one, time truly does fly. He is SO INDEPENDENT!
Here are a few highlights:
- He walks, runs, climbs, and pulls everything out of the cupboards.
- Nom, nom, nom means he is hungry and wants food.
- He has NO FEAR in the bath tub. He blows bubbles, goes under, splashes, and sucks soup.
- Psh, psh, means he wants to push a button or doorbell.
- He makes drill noises when playing with toys.
- He says dog for Toby, ttt for cat, and ba for ball.
- He prefers to play outside and throw balls down the drive way.
- He loves fruit (especially berries), yogurt, and scrambled eggs, but would rather not eat meat. Milk is his all time love.
We loves him to pieces!

I'm ONE and want to do it myself!
See, I got this!
A very messy boy!
Enough with the spoon...I am just going to drink it!
