Riding Bikes in the Hood!

We are so fortunate to live on a safe cul da sac with LOTS of little boys (and now one girl). The kids love to play outside, ride bikes, shoot hoops, and just be wild. Lucas has been thinking about taking his training wheels off all summer, in spring he was riding a little bit without them, got scared and wanted them back on. WELLL...all the sudden he decided it was time to take them off for good. In less than five minutes he was riding all over on two wheels and never crashed once.

He was SO proud!

 Look at those boys GO!

Colby riding his trike does NOT want to be left out!
Look at that bruised forehead. He is a wild man and should really wear a helmet at ALL times!

My Boys are GROWING up so fast!

Colby was NOT in the mood for pictures, and did NOT want to pose. So we got what we could :)

Colby is 15 Months!

Our baby boy is not much of a baby anymore! At his 15 month check he was 22lbs 5oz and was 40ish inches tall. He had three shots and they did a blood draw to check his iron levels, that was NOT an enjoyable experience.

Colby is on the go NON stop and is so FULL of personality. Here are some new things he is doing these days:
- He bounces up and down when you say "dance, dance".
- He hits the side of his head when you say "bonk, bonk".
- He is ALWAYS trying to make eye contact so he can get a smile.
- He loves milk from a straw cup...and insists on eating off a plate with a fork like his brother.
- He loves to "read" books.
- He has absolutely NO FEAR. He is constantly scrapped and covered in bruises.
- He screams when he has to come inside and would spend all day outside if he had the choice.
- His new words are: truck, please, bus, milk, up, bath (all in his little language). He also speaks A LOT of jibberish. He is constantly "talking" and making noises.

Looking for an airplane in the sky.

His first time in a pool!

His smile truly lights up a room!
His favorite foods are strawberries and blueberries.
He has NO problem keeping up with the big boys in the neighborhood!

Easter Weekend!

On Saturday the weather was nice so we headed to the Bunny Bounce at the Woodland Park Zoo for an Easter Egg Hunt. Lucas was disappointed when he realized the eggs were empty, but they both had fun collecting (no real hunting when they are lying all over the ground). That evening we went to Mimi's for a BBQ and to hunt for eggs in her backyard. Mimi and Auntie did a great job hiding the eggs (we might still have a few out there) and then Easter morning we had our annual neighborhood hunt! So fun!

Looking for eggs at the zoo!

 Jackpot!
Feeding the Budgie Birds an Easter Snack.

The Easter Bunny came to the Johnson Household!

Mr. Independent is 14 months!

Colby is 14 months! I can't believe it has already been two months since he turned one, time truly does fly. He is SO INDEPENDENT!

Here are a few highlights:
- He walks, runs, climbs, and pulls everything out of the cupboards.
- Nom, nom, nom means he is hungry and wants food.
- He has NO FEAR in the bath tub. He blows bubbles, goes under, splashes, and sucks soup.
- Psh, psh, means he wants to push a button or doorbell.
- He makes drill noises when playing with toys.
- He says dog for Toby, ttt for cat, and ba for ball.
- He prefers to play outside and throw balls down the drive way.
- He loves fruit (especially berries), yogurt, and scrambled eggs, but would rather not eat meat. Milk is his all time love.

We loves him to pieces!

I'm ONE and want to do it myself!
 See, I got this!
 A very messy boy!
Enough with the spoon...I am just going to drink it!

Our Little Valentines!

I took the morning off to be with Lucas and Colby on Valentine's Day! I also got to go to Lucas' Preschool Valentine's Party in the Train Room. Holidays are so much fun with little ones...even though our big Valentine was VERY BUSY working and going to class in the evening. I made sure I had a special dinner for him when he got home at 9:30pm :)

Lucas and I worked very hard making homemade Valentine's for his two teachers and 16 Train Room Friends. He got lots of practice writing his name! We included some special treats and a Valentine pencil.

We had special Valentine hot chocolate with heart sprinkles!
And red applesauce with pink yogurt and granola.
He got a special Valentine bag from cupid!

I tried to get a picture of their Valentine shirts! So cute!

Then it was off to the Train Room to celebrate friendship with his classmates!
