First Day of Pre-Kindergarten!

Our summer quickly flew by! We had SO much fun, and I treasure every moment I get to be home with my boys. Lucas was excited to go back to Kids at the Creek for another year. He has a new teacher, in a new classroom, but many of the same friends in his class. I have already recieved a couple emails from his teacher about how kind, caring, and well behaved he is. We hope these wonderful reports continue through his whole schooling career :)

Waiting for the day to start by reading some books!
He made it through the day!
Excited to go back tomorrow...

Riding Bikes in the Hood!

We are so fortunate to live on a safe cul da sac with LOTS of little boys (and now one girl). The kids love to play outside, ride bikes, shoot hoops, and just be wild. Lucas has been thinking about taking his training wheels off all summer, in spring he was riding a little bit without them, got scared and wanted them back on. WELLL...all the sudden he decided it was time to take them off for good. In less than five minutes he was riding all over on two wheels and never crashed once.

He was SO proud!

 Look at those boys GO!

Colby riding his trike does NOT want to be left out!
Look at that bruised forehead. He is a wild man and should really wear a helmet at ALL times!

My Boys are GROWING up so fast!

 Brothers!
Colby was NOT in the mood for pictures, and did NOT want to pose. So we got what we could :)
15 months and so full of personality!
Almost 5 with a smile that melts our hearts!

Blue Angels T-Ball!

Lucas is playing t-ball and loving every minute of it. He has also played soccer and basketball, but this seems to be his favorite so far. (I am not sure if he likes it because everyone gets their own turn to bat or the fact that he is getting a little older) I just love watching him be so proud, excited, and confident when he plays. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from this week's game :)

 Ready position!
Colby always needing to get in the action!

Easter Weekend!

On Saturday the weather was nice so we headed to the Bunny Bounce at the Woodland Park Zoo for an Easter Egg Hunt. Lucas was disappointed when he realized the eggs were empty, but they both had fun collecting (no real hunting when they are lying all over the ground). That evening we went to Mimi's for a BBQ and to hunt for eggs in her backyard. Mimi and Auntie did a great job hiding the eggs (we might still have a few out there) and then Easter morning we had our annual neighborhood hunt! So fun!

Mother's Day!

Lucas invited me to his Mother's Day celebration at Preschool. I was a complete mess as the teacher sat and read the words that each child said when asked what they loved most about their mom. Lucas said "I love the way she hugs me. I like going to the store with her to get tomatoes and carrots to eat. I love when she reads me books at bedtime." The kids then sang us a song spelling Mommy to the Oscar Meyer song, then we sat at the tables while they served us muffins and fruit. We also got to make a frame together and then Mrs. Pawley took a picture of us to put in the frame. I am so thankful for the sweet boy that made me a mommy!

Our Little Valentines!

I took the morning off to be with Lucas and Colby on Valentine's Day! I also got to go to Lucas' Preschool Valentine's Party in the Train Room. Holidays are so much fun with little ones...even though our big Valentine was VERY BUSY working and going to class in the evening. I made sure I had a special dinner for him when he got home at 9:30pm :)

Lucas and I worked very hard making homemade Valentine's for his two teachers and 16 Train Room Friends. He got lots of practice writing his name! We included some special treats and a Valentine pencil.

We had special Valentine hot chocolate with heart sprinkles!
And red applesauce with pink yogurt and granola.
He got a special Valentine bag from cupid!

I tried to get a picture of their Valentine shirts! So cute!

Then it was off to the Train Room to celebrate friendship with his classmates!
