A Patriotic 4th of July!

This year we had a 4th of July to remember! Nothing is more patriotic than watching fireworks explode off the end of a Naval aircraft carrier. It was humbling and thoughtful; it helped us reflect on the cost of our freedom. We went down to Patriot's Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC. They call it Patriot's Point because it is now home to the USS Yorktown (WWII Aircraft Carrier), USS Clamagore (submarine), and many other planes used during various wars spanning from WWII to Desert Storm. There are also a couple different museums along with other important war memorabilia. Here are some pictures of our very fun day!

Lucas was checking out a helicopter!
We toured the inside of this submarine. I have a whole new appreciation for men and women who spend their days on these stuffy and SMALL subs.

A night to remember!
